Merry Christmas everyone!!! Our first pandemic Christmas. Who would have thought? I am used to writing happy and positive posts about Christmas, but as the times are tough and this year was pretty crazy (and not in a good way), today I feel the need to talk from my heart.
This Christmas is special. And it should be a moment for us to look within ourselves and see what needs to be changed or improved. Christmas is not only about presents but also about love, compassion, and care for each other. You may be miles away from your family, friends, loved ones. You may be single or married, happy, or in a bad state of mind. But one thing is for sure. You are not alone. For some, it may be a difficult time, especially with the pandemic. But this should pass too. And hopefully, we will be back to normal. But until then, take this Christmas to appreciate what you have. Be grateful for who you are. And if you are with your family at the moment, show them more love. Laugh, eat, drink, do whatever you want. Forget for a moment about the bad part of life. Take a deeper look at the right one. Send a message, give a call to someone you didn’t talk to for a long time. You never know how much this means for them.
And if you are alone, don’t despair. I know and completely understand how bad it feels especially during the winter holidays. But the things will get better. I promise. It always does.
This Christmas is a little different for me. Because it is for the first time when I am breaking the traditions and just have some time with my dog, my parents, and my closest relatives. But talking to my dearest people (not only family but friends too) made me realize that the magic of Christmas is about spirituality and getting closer to the ones you love. And although it sounds like a cliche, it is about becoming a better person:)
Hello everybody!! Today I am in a blue mood, due to the weather. Since last night it kept pouring. So I was thinking that I should cheer myself a little by having a cup of coffee and writing a post about Christmas craziness, as there are 12 days left until Christmas Eve.
Since I know myself, I adored Christmas. If it would be for me, I would have Christmas every day. The vibe, the tree, carols, food, good times, everything gives me such a good mood. But what gets me in a bad mood is the time before Christmas. More specifically, usually from the beginning of the month until Christmas day. I don’t know about you, but in my family, these weeks we are like robots. Cleaning, shopping, cooking, last-minute stuff, and so on. I remember when I was a child, I was making fun of my parents and grandparents for going crazy around this time, but now I see it myself. And this year is even more special. Due to the pandemic, I can’t go and do proper Christmas shopping or visit my relatives as much I did before.
But believe it or not, the craziness in town is the same. How?? Everybody is bulk buying, angry as hell and with any vibes, excepting the Christmassy ones. It seems like this holiday became more a marketing strategy than an amazing holiday to celebrate with loved ones. We are losing the essence of it. And what makes me sad is that the children are losing that spirit. They stop believing in Santa from a very fragile age and lose all the magic of the holidays. I know that times change, but I feel that there are certain things we should try to keep.
Wishing you all a great day and keep being part of Yanny’s Journey. Something special is coming soon:)
Merry Christmas everyone! Today we will talk about Christmas. The most wonderful time of the year. And sometimes, one of the periods which causes us the worst pain.
This post is for all the people who, at the moment are feeling lonely , heartbroken or in pain. Studies are showing that Christmas is the period when people who are struggling are feeling the pain stronger than ever. And I know how it feels. Last year, Christmas was hell for me.
I have been dumped a year ago, this day, through a text message stating that not only he leaves me on Christmas day, but also he cheated on me. The shock was so strong, that months after, I found out that I almost died that night. I still can’t remember anything else from that moment or the following days. One year after, I got my friends and family back, I am happy and healed, and slowly but surely, gaining the control back. The point is , that even the worst moment can be survived. You may feel hopeless, lonely or worthless. But you are NOT. For sure, there is at least a person who truly loves and cares about you, a reason to fight for or a dream that you always wanted to achieve. For anyone reading this and who needs help, please know that you are not alone. The darkness will pass, the light will come back into your life.
Depression can be fought, the same as loneliness or emptiness. You have the most wonderful gift someone can have: YOURSELF. Look in the mirror and see how beautiful inside and outside you are. Let the Christmas vibe get into you. Love and appreciate yourself more.
This Christmas, you are not alone. Make this the best Christmas of your life. Smile, laugh, have fun…be happy!!! Happy Merry Christmas!!!!!:)
Today is about Christmas. The most beautiful time of the year. The time when families are gathering together, when you hear carols and make the Christmas tree, eat good food and have fun.
Since I was a kid, Christmas is my favorite holiday. I remember when I was a kid and preparing cookies and sweet bread(Romanian traditional sweet). My grandparents were waking me up at 5 to help them cook. I totally loved it as I was having lots of fun and laughs. It was everything so funny, lovely and peaceful. On Christmas Eve, I was going with my friends and go to our neighbors and sing carols. In return we were receiving oranges, cookies and money. After, it was time to decorate the Christmas tree and wait for Santa. I tried so many times to stay awake and wait for him but failed every time. The Christmas day was the day when presents were opened and the family was coming to our place. Our house was full. The next 2 days, we were going to have lunch at our grandparents and see our family friends.Christmas was perfect 🙂
And it still is. Somehow. Unfortunately, nowadays people focus more on the material part of Christmas and not the spiritual one. We start to lose the traditions and believe that if we buy a nice present for the loved ones is enough. It is not. Christmas is about being with the loved ones, fun times, lots of laughs and peace. And gratitude for everything you have and for having people to share it with. For the last few years, the number of kids coming to sing carols decreased a lot. But instead, the shops are full.People running around to find the perfect present. I would give anything to be able to have a Christmas like I used to have when I was a child. But I can’t. Because some of the people left, some of them are in heaven. But the memories are still there.
We should feel Christmas. Today we should think about everyone in need and send our best thoughts. Be nice to people, love them. Be next to the loved ones and forget about the rest. Presents don’t buy feelings. If you are far from your family, call them . Send them a nice message. It means a lot. Christmas makes us better people. Gives us positive vibes.
It should be Christmas every day. Be happy.Be positive. Love. And if you feel lonely, don’t forget that there is always hope. Have faith. Things will only get better.
Merry Christmas everyone!!! 🙂
